Yet Another Beginning

I seem to be creating a lot of beginnings recently. My website LastMage.com, podcasting over at TransDimensionalCafe.com, podcasting at ImageChaos.com… Beginnings. But more than the beginning of projects, I want to start and focus on the beginning of my career as a writer, such as it is.

I write everyday. In notebooks, notepads, on napkins, on computers, on my cellphone, even. I write.

More than that, I create. Every day, every hour I live and breathe creation. I feel it inside me like some sort of pressure building, waiting to be relieved by the very act of… writing.

I’d like to say that I am a director as I’ve directed a few things, but nothing of note.

I’d like to say that I am a filmmaker, but I’ve yet to have a production come to fruition.

I have failures. Starts that never made it out of the gate. Ideas that burned so brightly that they burned themselves to ash.

I have goals. God, have I got goals.

But I finally feel that I have the determination, the drive, the will to push forward with these ideas and projects. Not to simply want to succeed farther down the line but to get it done now. Right this second. Get it done and get it out there.

So this is a new beginning. I hope the beginning.
