I totally understand about video games/movies/tv and i will add reading books! They are diversions, time sinks, and a wondrous escape from the mundane. I am forever mentally slapping myself and forcing myself to write. And I love to write!! Odd that...

I also agree with your not wanting to go out. I am thrust into 'out' everyday at work (cashier) and I get really tired of people. My sister in law keeps trying to get me to go to the local bar and Im like why? I don't like the music they play, they dont have live bands, and the people there wouldnt know a book if it hit them so what would i talk about??? I know I'm being uncharitable, there are likely some interesting intelligent people who go there, but I have yet to find ONE. I would really rather just go home thank you very much. Problem is I would really like to talk to people: book people, writing people, intelligent people! You simply dont find many of them in a small town bar. If I lived in a bigger city I would hang out at a book store or cafe or even pub that catered to my kind of people, but alas I live in the armpit of the universe!

Okay you got me off on a rant... I am so sorry...

I do want to say bravo and good luck with your new determination and I am looking forward to reading more of your Mage serial.

I'm finally to a point of only playing an hour after writing 1000 words a day (not counting my morning routine). Take up the cause! Also, I'm allowing myself one cheat day a month, typically a Saturday, that I'm allowed to game as much as I want. We should try this schedule together.

We can encourage each other. Inspire one another. This is my first nanowrimo. :D

It's day one, and I've got 2142. Come on, Andrew, let's go! :D
